High Quality Cloth

Unlocked at Technology level 36. On a High Quality Workbench the craft is Wool ×10 and Leather ×1 for one cloth. Leather is the light half of that recipe for most bases; wool throughput is what actually paces hand crafts.

The real win is ranching. Sibelyx dumps finished High Quality Cloth as a Ranch passive, no wool queue required. Hunt them in the Astral Mountains, or pull one from the Sealed Realm of the Pristine if the snow peaks aren't open yet. Sibelyx Primo and Selyne also feed the same loop later. Merchants sell cloth, but the gold cost is steep compared to a single ranch worker.

You'll feel the sink fast. Refined Metal Armor, Pal Metal Armor, Plasteel, and Hexolite armor lines all pull cloth. So do gliders, several saddles, and the Pal Surgery Table at 20× when you start running implants. Catch a Sibelyx early, park Transport next to the Ranch, and stop crafting this by hand unless you're topping off a rush build.
