The Basics

Welcome to the Palworld Center basics hub for Palworld 1.0 / 1.0.5. Official pal count is 287. Player level cap is 80. Work Suitability ranks reach 10. The old Lifmunk Effigy loop is now the Pal Effigy loop.

Players

Start here when you are learning survival loop, inventory pressure, and personal power.

Player power also comes from catching, breeding, and condensing pals rather than only from crafting a bigger gun. Keep a path into Palpedia early.

Pals

Every basics topic leads back to your pals: who you catch, breed, and condense decides what your base and team can do.

Elements

Type matchups drive towers, Alphas, and everyday catches.

Technology

Ancient Technology Points from towers and Alphas unlock the late toys. Ordinary Technology still gates benches, guns, and base quality of life.

Bases

Palbox placement is half the game.

A durable mid-game pattern is one craft home, one metal mine, one specialist (oil, sulfur, or breeding). Adjust to your Palbox slot count.

1.0.5 snapshot for new players

  • Full release context spans 1.0, with follow-ups 1.0.3, 1.0.4, and 1.0.5.
  • Towers run on a five-minute clock.
  • Breeding combos were reviewed; use the breeding calculator, not Early Access lists.
  • Work Suitability ceiling is 10.
  • Shoreline building works after the Aquatic Construction Kit changes.
  • Predators are random; Alphas are pinned; towers are story arenas. Do not grind the wrong loop.
  • Potentials (IVs) matter at the level 80 cap. See Breeding IVs once you start perfecting keepers.
