Ranch
A Ranch is the early production pad where Farming pals graze and drop goods into the pen. Assign the right Partner Skill plus Farming work, keep food in a nearby Feed Box, and let Transport haul the pile.

Drop the Ranch inside the base build radius. Multiple Ranches stack capacity if you want separate wool / egg / sphere lines. Leave clear Transport paths to chests so drops do not sit in the dirt.
How grazing works
- Assign Farming pals to the base that owns the Ranch.
- They path into the pen and periodically drop items.
- Work Speed bonuses matter (1.0 made ranch work speed count).
- Multi-skill pals may leave for higher-priority jobs, then return when idle.
- Collect manually or with Transporting pals.
Applied Ranching Handbook I and the wider 1.0 ranch output buffs raise throughput further. World Settings can change ranch production intervals on private worlds. Confirm handbook unlocks in your technology / item UI.

Single-job Farming pals (Chikipi, Mozzarina, Melpaca, Vixy) dump every condensation rank into Farming. That is why ranch lines love Condensation more than mixed-job fighters do.
Vixy sphere quality climbs with ranch / Partner Skill rank in community tables (Mega / Giga / Hyper tiers appearing at higher ranks). Exact rank breakpoints vary by source; confirm them in game.

If an Alpha Surfent line still looks empty after 1.0.4, re-check assignment, Feed Box pathing, and whether the pal is stuck on another job.
Ranch vs Breeding Farm
Keep the Breeding Farm as a separate building. Cake does not belong in the ranch chest. Ranch goods (eggs, milk, honey from later pals) feed the cake loop, but the breeding station and the ranch pen are different machines.
Cake routing lives on breeding guide and Mutation. Condensation and IVs live on Condensation and breeding IVs.
Staffing tips
- Feed Box within a short walk so SAN and hunger do not idle the pen.
- Condensation before you mass-build Ranches; four 4★ Farming pals beat eight unranked ones.
- Separate wool and sphere Ranches if Transport keeps mixing stacks you sort by hand.
- Filter Farming on the pals index when you are recruiting the next grazer.
- Do not expect the Ranch to replace Mining or Oil loops. It is food, cloth, spheres, and cake inputs.
Other ranch products to watch
Community ranch tables list more species over time (Caprity wool lines, Beegarde honey, Dumud oil variants, and others). Treat every extra name as unconfirmed and check the Partner Skill text in your paldex before you dedicate a pen.

World Settings on private servers can stretch or shrink ranch intervals. If your pen feels broken after a settings tweak, check interval sliders before you replace the whole roster.
Cake ingredient bridge
Eggs, milk, and honey from ranch lines feed cake crafts used on the Breeding Farm. That is the ranch-to-breeding bridge. The Breeding Farm itself still needs its own building, its own cake stack, and its own parents (breeding guide). Do not store cake inside the ranch chest and expect breeding to find it.
When you are ready to push IV / passive lines, jump to breeding IVs, chain breeding passives, and Mutation. Condensation then locks Work Suitability on the finished grazer (Condensation).
