Gigantic Furnace

Tech Level 58. This is the late hearth that takes over after Electric Furnace when Hexolite queues and multi-Pal Kindling become the real bottleneck.

The usual recipe is Plasteel ×150, Polymer ×100, Flame Organ ×200, and Computer ×12. Power draw while running is often cited near 1500 per second, so plan a fat generator row before you light it. Work speed is commonly cited around +350%, and SAN drain sits near −0.08 while Kindling workers stay on the job. Unlike earlier hearths, several Fire Pals can share the smelt instead of one lonely Kindling body babysitting the fire.

Hexolite refinement is the headline unlock: pair Hexolite Quartz with Chromite on this hearth. Keep Ore, coal, and late alloy feeds parked close so the bay never idles waiting on transport. Progression runs Primitive Furnace → Improved Furnace → Electric → Gigantic. Drop a Flame Cauldron nearby for the Kindling speed buff, and leave Electric online for everyday Pal Metal and Plasteel while Gigantic owns the Hexolite and high-volume late batches.
