Primitive Furnace

Tech Level 10. This is the first real hearth, and every early metal project waits on it until you climb the furnace line.

The usual recipe is Wood ×20, Stone ×40, and Flame Organ ×3. A Kindling Pal runs the station. SAN drain is commonly cited near −0.15 while work is active. Recipe range is narrow on purpose: Ore into Ingot, and Wood into Charcoal. That's enough for nails, early weapons, and the High Quality Workbench era, but it won't open refined alloys.

Progression runs Primitive → Improved Furnace → Electric Furnace. Drop a Flame Cauldron nearby for the Kindling speed buff once you unlock it, and keep Primitive online as a second hearth even after Improved arrives so charcoal and basic ingots don't queue behind refined metal batches.
