Stone Spear

Tech Level 3. Early melee spear that opens poke range long before ore furnaces and rifles take over. Attack sits near 35, so it hits harder than fist range while keeping a longer thrust than close starter sticks. Build it when Wood and Stone piles start stacking and you want a cheap spear before the Metal Spear and later Refined Metal Spear unlocks.

Recipe: Wood ×18 + Stone ×6. Eighteen Wood is the bulk sink, so keep stump runs or early logging pals feeding the chest. Six Stone is easy once gather loops run, so park both mats beside the weapon bench for unlock night and stash a spare for death runs.

Carry Stone Spear for early field clears, nest fights, and any close-mid poke where reach beats fist range. Step up to Metal Spear once Ingot lines start, and keep blades like Sword and Katana for later melee swaps.
