Tech Level 44. Late melee sword that opens top close-range damage once Pal Metal weapon crafts are online. Attack sits near 780, so it hits far harder than the mid Sword and early poke tools like Metal Spear. Build it when you want a dedicated blade for alphas, tower rooms, and tough field clears that reward swing power over spear reach.

Recipe: Pal Metal Ingot ×20 + High Quality Wooden Board ×2 + Corrosive Solvent ×3. Twenty Pal Metal Ingot is the real gate, so keep ore and coal lines feeding the advanced furnace before Tech 44 night. Two High Quality Wooden Board and three Corrosive Solvent are light once board and solvent crafts run.

Carry Katana for boss nights, crowded nest fights, and any close fight where Attack 780 outclasses earlier melee. Keep Meat Cleaver for ranch Butcher work rather than treating the Katana as a drop tool, and keep Sword as the cheaper mid multitool while Pal Metal stocks catch up.
