Tech Level 13. Early melee spear that opens ore-era poke range once furnaces start turning out Ingot. Attack sits near 80, so it hits harder than starter clubs while keeping a longer thrust than close knives. Build it when Wood and Stone piles are thick and you want a reliable spear before mid rifles and cleavers take over the loadout.

Recipe: Wood ×27 + Stone ×12 + Ingot ×10. Twenty-seven Wood is the bulk sink, so keep logging pals or stump runs feeding the chest. Twelve Stone and ten Ingot are easy once gather and smelting loops run, so park all three mats beside the weapon bench for unlock night.

Carry Metal Spear for early field clears, nest fights, and any close-mid poke where reach beats fist range. Keep Meat Cleaver for ranch butcher work rather than treating the spear as a drop tool.
