Defense sits near 180 with Health near 500, plus Heat Resistance Lv2, so deserts and volcano routes stop melting your mid-late plate. Wear it when plain refined metal still leaves you cooking under high Heat stacks.

Recipe: Refined Ingot ×40 + Leather ×20 + High Quality Cloth ×2 + Flame Organ ×12. Flame Organ is the climate mat only, so bank it from Fire-type fights and craft nights rather than treating it as a farm guide. Forty Refined Ingot plus a double High Quality Cloth pull means you want smelting and cloth lines ready before unlock night.

Run Heat Resistant Refined Metal Armor for desert towers, volcanic treks, and long heat biomes where Heat Resist Lv2 beats base refined plate. Swap to Cold Resistant Refined Metal Armor when snow takes over, or step down to Heat Resistant Metal Armor if refined mats are scarce.
