The in-game description says it is a saddle for safely riding Jormuntide. Reach for it when you want the Coolant-mat water mount kit after Nitewing Saddle and the Surfent line.

Recipe: Leather ×36 + Fiber ×60 + Refined Ingot ×24 + Cryogenic Coolant ×24 + Paldium Fragment ×48. Thirty-six Leather, sixty Fiber, twenty-four Refined Ingot, and twenty-four Coolant are solid late sinks beside the Pal Gear Workbench; mild-high for Paldium Fragment ×48, farm fragment loops from the best Paldium Fragment base locations guide. No organ mats sit in the recipe.

Carry Jormuntide Saddle for late water routes, coastal bases, and any session where a Tech 40 Coolant saddle beats lighter Surfent kits.
