Tech Level 1. Earliest logging tool that opens wood nights long before ore furnaces and yield passives take over. Attack sits near 20, so it chops starter trees while keeping a cheap spare for death runs. Build it when Wood and Stone piles start stacking and you want an axe before the Metal Axe, later Refined Metal Axe, and Pal Metal Axe unlocks.

Recipe: Stone ×5 + Wood ×5. Five Stone and five Wood keep the craft light on day one, so park both mats beside the workbench and assemble a spare for base chests. Pair it with Stone Pickaxe at the same Tech tier so early gathering covers trees and nodes together.

Carry Stone Axe for stump runs, early furniture crafts, and any wood night where a cheap axe beats fist range. Step up to Metal Axe once Ingot lines start, and keep refining toward Refined Metal Axe and Pal Metal Axe as yield tiers climb.
