Tech Level 38. This is cold storage for cooked stock, not a feeder. Build it when your kitchen starts outrunning how fast workers eat.

Recipe is Refined Ingot ×50, Polymer ×20, Cryogenic Coolant ×10, and Circuit Board ×5. It needs electricity plus a Cooling Pal. Capacity is commonly around 25 slots, and power draw while running is often cited near 50 per second.

Spoil timers slow down hard once food sits inside. That matters for Cake, salads, and buff dishes you cook in batches instead of one meal at a time. Pals still can't eat from the Refrigerator. Keep a Feed Box stocked, or workers starve next to a full cold chest.

Start earlier with a Cooler Box, then Cold Food Box later (commonly around level 51) combines chilled storage with eatable access. Keep dry bulk in a Large Container. Until then, Refrigerator plus Feed Box is the split: cold backlog in one, ready meals in the other. Tie both into your food loop so Transport isn't the bottleneck.
