Tech Level 37. Mid-late headgear that pairs with Refined Metal Armor once refined smelting and Paldium loops are humming. Defense sits near 100 with Health near 250, so it doubles the protection of Metal Helm and finally makes the helmet slot feel like real plate. Craft it the same stretch you kit Refined Metal Armor, because free head Defense stacks cleanly with the body set.

Recipe: Refined Ingot ×20 + Paldium Fragment ×15. Paldium Fragment is a craft mat only here; farm it from your usual ore loops and lean on the Paldium Fragment base guide if volume stalls. Twenty Refined Ingot is the gated sink, so keep improved furnaces fed before unlock night.

Wear Refined Metal Helm with Refined Metal Armor for mid-late towers, ore-region alphas, and any fight where Metal Helm still feels soft. Graduate to Pal Metal Helm once Pal Metal smelting is online. Keep a spare helm in the chest so a death does not send you back bare-headed mid route.
