Metal Helm

Tech Level 23. Mid-game headgear that pairs with Metal Armor once furnaces and Paldium loops are online. Defense sits near 50 with Health near 100, so it adds a real helmet slot on top of body plate instead of leaving your head bare through ore-tier fights. Craft it the same week you kit Metal Armor, because free head Defense stacks cleanly with the body set.

Recipe: Ingot ×20 + Paldium Fragment ×10. Paldium Fragment is a craft mat only here; farm it from your usual ore loops and lean on the Paldium Fragment base guide if volume stalls. Twenty Ingot is easy once smelting runs, so keep Paldium chests topped before unlock night.

Wear Metal Helm with Metal Armor for mid towers, ore-region alphas, and any stretch where body plate alone still feels thin. Graduate to Refined Metal Helm once refined smelting is online. Keep a spare helm in the chest so a death does not send you back bare-headed mid route.
