Oil Extractor

Officially named the Crude Oil Extractor, this endgame harvester pulls crude oil from oil fields so your Electric Furnace can keep making Plasteel. Unlock it at Technology level 50 for 2 points.

Build cost is heavy: Pal Metal Ingot ×250 and Circuit Board ×50, with a workload commonly cited around 500,000. Start the Handiwork crew early and stock boards before you clear the tech node, or the craft sits half finished for a long stretch.

Placement rules are strict. Drop it on an oil field inside a Palbox radius. Off the field or outside the box, it won't run. Continuous power is required; a Large Generator is the usual recommendation so the extractor doesn't brown out mid-cycle.

Assign strong Generating Electricity pals, ideally level 3 or higher. Orserk and Grizzbolt are commonly cited for this job. Weak generators starve output even when the oil field and Pal Metal build are correct.

Crude from the extractor feeds Plasteel and other late oil recipes. Pair the oil base with furnace capacity and Circuit Board income so Pal Metal, boards, and crude stay on the same production loop instead of three disconnected chores.
