Technology Level 10 (1 Tech Point). Everyday structure material you craft early and keep burning through mid-base pads long after the first workbench comes online.

A commonly cited craft at the Primitive Workbench is Ingot ×1 into Nail ×5 (workload around 1,500). One ingot batch turns into a handful of nails, so keep metal flowing if you're placing several facilities in one session. Nails are the quiet sink behind wood and stone when blueprints start asking for fasteners.

Sinks include the Mounted Machine Gun and Large Toolbox, plus other early facilities that need hardware. Craft a chest of nails before a remodel so you're not waiting on Handiwork between every foundation. Confirm batch size and workload on your patch if an older tip still lists a different nail-per-ingot count.
