Tech Level 1. Early light and warmth tool that doubles as emergency close-range melee once Wood and Stone crafts come online beside Wooden Club and later Primitive Sword. Attack sits near 10 with Durability around 100 and Weight 5, so dark caves and cold nights get a cheap handheld lamp that can still poke nest packs in a pinch. Reach for it when night survey runs need light and warmth without waiting on mid-tech weapons.

Recipe: Wood ×2 + Stone ×2. Two Wood and two Stone are tiny early sinks, so the kit finishes beside the workbench in one trip with no Paldium in the recipe.

Carry Hand-Held Torch for cave openers, cold biome walks, and any route where light plus warmth beat stumbling blind. Keep Wooden Club or Primitive Sword ready when you need real melee punch, and park Wood before Tech 1 night.
