Attack sits near 25, so it beats fist range for nest doors and early packs without asking for ore or rare mats. Build it when Wood piles first appear and you want a simple close stick before mid clubs like the Metal Bat or capture tools like Stun Baton.

Recipe: Wood ×5. Five Wood is the whole recipe, so grab a stump run, craft two clubs, and keep a spare in the chest for death nights. No Stone, no Ingot, no organ mats. Just Wood and a free Tech 1 slot.

Carry Wooden Club for doorway fights, low-tech melee nights, and any close pack where a light starter club feels better than empty hands. Swap to Metal Bat when refined mats arrive, and keep Stun Baton for capture jolts instead of damage.
