Tech Level 39. Compact shotgun that bridges midgame firearms into the late shotgun ladder. Attack sits near 190 with Mag 2, so you land hard close bursts, then reload before the next pair. Reach for it once refined mats and Polymer are steady enough to replace weaker early guns in cave and base fights.

Recipe: Refined Ingot ×30 + Polymer ×7 + Hardwood ×25. Thirty Refined Ingot is the heavy sink, while Polymer ×7 and Hardwood ×25 round out the frame. Stock refined stacks and hardwood beside the weapon bench so unlock night forges a ready gun without a Polymer scramble.

Carry Double-Barreled Shotgun for cave clears, base breaches, and any tight fight where Mag 2 burst beats single-shot pacing. Step up from Makeshift Shotgun or Single-Shot Rifle when close range matters more than long sightlines, then climb toward Pump-Action Shotgun once Polymer volume and Tech unlocks clear Mag 8, then Semi-Auto Shotgun when you want Mag 10 rapid pellets.
