Tech Level 30. Mid shotgun rung after early firearms and before the true Pump-Action Shotgun and Double-Barreled Shotgun. Attack sits near 215 with Mag 1, built for close-range burst rather than sustained mag dump. Treat it like the Makeshift Handgun and Makeshift Assault Rifle story: a scrap-built step that opens the shotgun lane before refined weapon mats arrive.

Recipe: Ingot ×60 + High Quality Pal Oil ×15 + Fiber ×50. Sixty Ingot and fifteen High Quality Pal Oil are the gated mats, so park ore, coal, and oil pals beside fiber baskets before unlock night. Keep a Fiber buffer, because Fiber also feeds cloth crafts that compete for the same pile.

Carry Makeshift Shotgun for cave clears, close alphas, and any mid fight where Mag 1 burst outclasses pistol pacing at short range. Graduate to Pump-Action or Double-Barreled when those Tech unlocks and later mats are online, and keep this scrap gun as a spare while oil stocks catch up.
