Single-Shot Rifle

Tech Level 36. Mid-late single-shot rifle that trades magazine size for raw power. Attack sits near 1100, a clear step up from the Musket, while the slow reload still rewards careful pacing. Build it when refined smelting and Polymer production are steady enough to replace early guns on boss nights.

Recipe: Refined Ingot ×20 + Polymer ×5 + Hardwood ×20 on a Weapon Workbench. Polymer is the gated mat, so park it beside refined stacks and hardwood crates before unlock night. Keep a replacement kit in the weapon chest, because a death mid expedition hurts more when the rebuild needs Polymer.

Carry Single-Shot Rifle for alphas, tower bosses, and long field clears where one heavy round beats spray weapons you have not unlocked yet. Stay with Musket only while Refined Ingot and Polymer lag, then pick up Pump-Action Shotgun for tight rooms or Assault Rifle for mid-range rapid fire.
