Plantation grain with cited Nutrition near 6. Raw Wheat is a light snack in a pinch, but its real job is feeding the Mill so your kitchens can bake Bread, Cake, and the rest of the midgame menu.

Prefer a Wheat Plantation with Planting, Watering, and Gathering coverage, then haul bags into a chest beside the Mill. The commonly cited grind is Wheat ×3 into Flour. Once Flour stacks, Bread and Cake open the loop that keeps breeding and work crews fed without living on berries alone.

Keep Transport routes short between fields, Mill, and kitchens so grain doesn't sit rotting in a far chest. Share Watering labor with berry plots so one strong Water worker isn't stretched across every wet job. Eat spare Wheat only when Flour stock is already healthy.
