Tech Level 7. Twin station to Logging Site, and the pair is how early bases stop hand-gathering every foundation block.

The usual recipe is Stone ×50, Wood ×20, and Paldium Fragment ×10. Mining runs the pit. SAN drain is commonly cited near −0.15, and the output is Stone for walls, hearths, and every later mining upgrade.

Plant both Tech 7 sites in one corner with shared Transport so Logging and Mining workers don't walk the whole base. Stone feeds Ore Mining Site, Coal Mine, furnaces, and plot builds like Berry Plantation and Wheat Plantation. Keep the pit online after Ore and Coal mines arrive; those stations still eat Stone on the build recipe, and bases never really stop expanding floors.
