Simple Bait

Tech Level 15. Basic fishing bait required to lure Pals when you start fishing. Craft it before you rely on a Fishing Pond or Large Fishing Pond, and keep the Fishing guide handy for pond setup and timing. High Quality Bait is the bite-chance step, then Deluxe Bait and Alluring Bait are the later wider-bar upgrades once oil and crop stacks catch up.

Full cited recipe once: Aquatic Pal Fluids ×2 + Red Berries ×4 + Flour ×2 into Simple Bait ×10. Build on an early workbench once berries and a Mill are online. Park fluids, berry crates, and flour sacks in one prep chest so bait nights produce full ×10 batches without a missing mat. Berry plantations plus Water Pal hunts keep fluids and fruit stocked.

Stock Simple Bait before your first pond sessions and any shore fishing that asks for bait. Graduate to High Quality Bait at Tech 22, then Deluxe Bait when the Tech 38 recipe and High Quality Pal Oil are ready; until then this stack is the required early sink.
