Pure Quartz

Mined from pale crystal nodes in the world. It's not a furnace product, so no amount of Kindling turns Ore into Quartz. You have to go get the nodes or build a late mining setup that sits on them.

Astral Mountains hold the majority of nodes, commonly cited around 75% of the map's supply. Sakurajima and Verdant Brook are the usual secondary pockets when you need a second route or a warmer outpost. Bring Mining pals, clear the crystals, and leave Transport or player hauling ready because stacks get heavy fast.

Two mid-late crafts eat most of your Quartz. Circuit Board wants it for electronics, and Pal Metal Ingot wants one Quartz per smelt. Later you can unlock a Pure Quartz Quarry and dedicated mining bases, commonly cited around level 50. Soften that number if your patch notes or tech tree differ, then treat Quartz like coal: continuous income, not a one-time stash.
