Defense sits at 1 with a heavy HP budget, and the description frames it as a massive defensive wall that blocks enemy intrusions, made from stone so it is reasonably sturdy. Reach for it when you want the mid stone ring upgrade after wood perimeters and before the late metal defensive finish, pairing openings with Stone Gate or Iron Gate.

Recipe: Stone ×10. Ten Stone is a light mid sink, so long perimeters still finish in a few workbench trips with no Paldium in the recipe and no organ mats to chase.
