Pelt Armor

Tech Level 12. Mid-early body armor that steps past Cloth Outfit once hunting and smelting are online. Defense sits near 35 with Health near 140, plus Cold Resistance Lv1, so you finally soak real hits while cool biomes stay manageable. Forge it when Leather and Ingot start stacking from ranch and furnace loops.

Recipe: Leather ×10 + Ingot ×10 + Fiber ×20. Ten Ingot and ten Leather are the real sinks, so keep ore flowing and Leather from hunting or ranch pals before unlock night. Fiber ×20 is easy if you still gather while traveling, so park a Fiber chest beside the armor bench.

Wear Pelt Armor for early towers, cold routes, and any fight where Cloth Outfit crumples under midgame pals. Swap to Heat Resistant Pelt Armor or Cold Resistant Pelt Armor when a biome needs a sharper resist, then climb toward Metal Armor once Ingot volume and Tech unlocks clear the next plate tier.
